At home, our windows don’t really show much, but from the rooftop deck we have a beautiful view from which you can see a) Alcatraz, b) the Golden Gate Bridge, c) Angel Island, d) Marin county, e) the Transamerica building (the top of it at least) f) the twisty part of Lombard Street, g) Grace Cathedral, and h) Sts. Peter & Paul church. When the wind is right we can hear the sea lions down at Pier 39, and if that house behind us wasn’t there we could also see Coit Tower. All in all, a quick and easy way to see the sights.
So in October, when Fleet Week hit the city, we naturally went to the roof to watch the Blue Angels show.
