As you can see on our website, the wedding is only 18 days away. Things are coming together, but there are naturally things to wrap up.
#1, Ceremony Details
It seems we’re not too concerned with the frills here so we’re putting it off by default. But one of us needs to buckle down and put pen to paper so it won’t literally run as "Do you?" "Uh-huh."
#2, Flowers/Centerpieces
I gotta say, on the one hand I couldn’t be less interested. On the other, I want to be completely involved in some sculptural arrangement that not only exemplifies all that one might expect from flowers but also perfect integration with the space and the general tone of our invitations etc so far.
One victory: I have decided that the stuff in the center should be white or light blue.
Chances are, the details will be decided after I get back to Maryland. At this rate my bouquet is likely to involve walking down the street, finding a florist, grabbing a handful, and coming back to the hotel, and that’s ok too.
#3, Friday Night
The last thing I want to do is slight anyone who expected to join us the night before The Big Day. Fortunately enough, they should all be in the hotel or nearby by this point so it shouldn’t be too hard to organize (provided we sort out the room shift).
#4, Hair
I’m not sure a French twist is really in my immediate future anymore. I’m looking forward to working something out advice-wise when I get it trimmed. But the real question is, should I color it…? (Given the sorry state of my finances I’m guessing I’ll skip that too, by default.)
